Tenants Information and Fees

Montrose Properties has a great reputation for looking after the needs of both landlords and tenants.

We want tenants to be happy and, since we began in 1981, we have worked hard to achieve this. In that time we have built long-term relationships with landlords and tenants – some of whom have rented from us for over 20 years and many have come back to us as Landlords!

If you have problems or concerns, whether it be with your property, rent payments or neighbours and other residents, please contact our office as soon as possible. We have years of experience and are always happy to help.

The same applies if you feel disappointed with our service. There are few problems that cannot be solved, or avoided, by good communication. We have an effective complaints procedure in place and are members of The Property Ombudsman.

Appointments, Viewings and Tenant Fees

Our lettings team are highly knowledgeable about the properties we offer and are happy to discuss your preferences and needs to find the right property for you.

Where possible, we are happy to drive you to viewings, provided you’ve made an appointment to meet at our office, where free parking is available. This also helps us with our team’s personal security, knowing that you have been into our office and filled in a short form, and is convenient – especially if you are new to the area. You can if you prefer, arrange to meet at the property.

When you find a suitable property and your application has been accepted, the following fees apply.

Before Your Tenancy Starts

Tenancy Application and Referencing (first tenant)

Tenancy Application and Referencing (subsequent tenants)

Guarantor Fee (if required)

Student Tenancy Application and Referencing (includes guarantor fee)

Accompanied Check In Fee (optional)
